I never implied anything close to that. It's excusable for a relatively new fan to not know about a guy that stopped playing 30 years ago. I only know a few people who watch soccer, none of them being Liverpool fans, so it's not like I can talk about the history with anyone
You are the gift that keeps giving with bandwagon Liverpool fans.
Actually a piss poor excuse for a scouser.

I'm not going to be surprised if I'm talking to a new Alabama fan and he doesn't know who Harry Gilmer, Don Hutson, or Kenny Stabler are.

You are a fan of one of the best clubs in the world but don't really know their history
that makes you bandwagon
o I'm sure you are one of those " I liked Liverpool when they were not good" types

not at all
but not researching your team what so ever proves you are a flaky bandwagon type.
I wasn't always a WVU fan but when I went there I learned the history.

Nah I made sure I was spun up because I was invested heavily. Even if not I knew about guys like Sam Huff and Major Harris right away.

Liverpool is also probably my 5th or 6th favorite team, so the other ones take priority

Yet you didn't know about Graeme I find that hard to believe.
No point in even busting your chops about this anymore. You are a phony.

Sure. Whatever you say. You are the keeper of the fandoms.

The epitome of what is wrong with soccer fans. I honestly don't think you could have come off worse in this thread if you tried. And the worst part is you don't even realize how you sound.

Awesome man, its no different than fans of any sport.
If a person has been a fan of a team for as long as he said he has followed LFC you think they would know who one of their legends are. Its like how females are sports fans but don't know really anything.
Posted on 10/13/14 at 9:28 am to StraightCashHomey21
Sorry for caring more about the current team than the past.

I'm 100% behind you on this. If I met someone claiming to be a Man Utd fan at a bar and he didn't know who George Best was, then alarm bells are ringing that this guy either just started watching this season, or a shitty/ not real fan. How would you support a club and not take a look back at the history?

George Best = Kenny Dalglish, greatest players in club history in glory positions, so not a valid comparison to Souness. A more apt comparison would be to Roy Keane. I know a few newer Manchester United fans who don't know Roy Keane, and he last played for MU less than 10 years ago.

if so they need to be waterboarded
Thats like Liverpool fans not knowing who a recent legend like Michael Owen is.
