Have we ever had a top scorer in any European league before? I can’t think of anyone even coming close tbh

Jozy during that one season in Alkmaar?

Actually didn't Bacon also do it at Alkmaar?

Haji Wright scored today. That's now atleast one goal in 7 straight matches and 8 of the last 9.

He and Ferreira are en fuego.

Meanwhile, our worst fears have been realized with Pepi making a move when he did.

No goals or assists in 475 minutes this season with Augsburg. He didn't even get in at all yesterday against Greuther Furth in what was a match with no ramifications in the table.

I mentioned this when the move was made, but I really wish he would've stayed at FC Dallas until after the World Cup.

Augsburg’s coach is leaving.

Augsburg isn’t relegated (your post says they are?)

Pepi was actually about to come on in the 80th minute or so and then Augsburg scored and brought on a defensive midfielder instead.

I agree with him staying at FCD until the WC but at least Ferreira is balling out.

That could be even worse for Pepi IMO. The incoming regime has not reason to play a struggling player that was bought under the previous coach.

I blame Brian Sciaretta for that one. Definitely saw a tweet from him the other day saying they were. I should've actually looked at the table.

That doesn't really make it better... he still didn't get in a match that meant nothing.

Malik Tillman is not listed in Germany's U21 squad for June matches, strengthening the rumors that he has accepted a USMNT call-up this summer.

So, according to wikipedia, Haji Wright's cousin is Joe Addai.

I'm full-on team Haji now.

Tillman is filing his switch to USMNT and will be in camp for Nations League.

Here's what a picture of him in camp may look like.

In terms of strikers and potential strikers, Wright, Ferreira, Weah and Tillman (listed as a midfielder) all called into camp, but Gregg also had this to say about FC Cincy's Brandon Vasquez

quote:

“I had him being close. He has been doing a good job, scoring some goals. He is close. If he continues to score goals in the future and his team continues to win, he has a chance.”

Gregg Berhalter on Brandon Vasquez. Gregg also said that John Tolkin was close. #USMNT
