For whatever reason, I'm not as down as everyone else is on Parkhurst.
I've always thought he was mediocre, but I've actually been surprised with his ability going forward. Well timed runs, crosses finding the box.
He DID lose the guy on the goal in the Belize game, but other than that, he's been okay.

Compared to our other options right now, he is probably the most polished. It is weird though that we sent Beltran back and didn't bring in any other RB help.

Yeah this lineup is really hard to get excited about

Nah. Beltran is still there.
Corey Ashe went back. Orozco *can* play LB/RB as well.

No Alan Gordon!

I thought last time out Torres had one of his best games in years (maybe since the friendly against Turkey) so I was kind of hoping he'd start. He can tuck in a bit, let Beasley get forward. I assume we'll see GAM on for Wondo if he struggles.

What's going to happen, just like in past games, we are going to play a very stagnant/mediocre first half.
Beckerman will get subbed off for Holden to start the 2nd half and all of the sudden we will be pushing the ball down El Salvador's throats. That Mix/Stu midfield combo with Landon helping out has been fun to watch.

That's what I'm thinking. He'll play almost centrally, with Beasley covering the whole left side, like they did with Castillo in the second half against Cuba.

Turns out a couple of players on this El Salvador team was a part of the team that knocked our U-23's from Olympic qualifying last year.
Time for Corona and Mix to get their revenge.

Well we looked pretty stagnant with Mix and Holden out there last time. Everybody loves Stu but it's not like he hasn't been somewhat hit or miss this tournament. He was pretty mediocre against Costa Rica.

More El Salvadore fans than US fans in Baltimore. Pathetic.

Anyone at Finn's just curious how crowded it is.
Posted on 7/21/13 at 2:39 pm to vuvuzela
Well...that area is full of Salvadoreños. Wonder how many MS-13's are packing at the match.

I'm okay with Beckerman out there.
I have a feeling this game will be very physical, and he's the "toughest" midfielder we have.
