Apparently it's really hot there. I wonder what it looks like on the shade side.

I think the team should be moved. As for a derby I would think that LA considers San Jose as a bigger rival.

Uh, what?

We averaged like 15,000+ last season.

ETA: It was 15,000+. Not terrible though.

They are not moving.

They will be rebranded and sold, however.

Garber wants the team to remain in LA. People forget that the club averaged almost 18k a match their first 5 years of existence before losing, inept management, and overt racism ruined their relationship with the community.

The location is not the problem; its everything else.

i think the issue for people is that there are so many cities out there who want and are deserving of an MLS team and L.A. gets 2, one of which has been a complete shitshow and can't draw. That city is also not know for being a very good sports town, unlike NYC who is getting a 2nd team.

Why not give one of these other cities a chance?

I pretty much agree with what you are saying. LA sports fans aren't known for being the best. A lot of good options for a new city out there. STL, San Antonio, or the Twin Cities.

The problem is you have a team branded as Chivas that MLS essentially broke up with. The hardcore Chivas fans from early on in the process have left and until this team has a new identity and owner it will be hard to bring people back.

That being said MLS wants Chivas out of the Stub Hub center and in their own stadium. That will help more than most people know.

Well MLS says they want the club to stay in LA but we all know that for the right price they would consider letting the team go to another city.
