I bet that at least 3 of Germany's goals wouldn't have happened just by having Thiago Silva on the field, even if this had become a rout.

Germany's better but I think the match would have looked a lot more like Germany vs France or USA or Ghana with Thiago Silva. I can't see that they would have had the same level, almost unprecedented, defensive meltdown.
