I was thinking just the opposite. This is about to get really ugly and boring. Arsenal will do their typical substitution pattern of bringing on defensive players at midfield positions.

I really want to see Giroud and Ozil get some rest, and I want to see Podolski out there.

villa pretty much has to go for it now. opens it up for us. i think we could score another couple.

jack has been fricking brilliant.

baker just has a mild concussion. good to hear. scary situation.

I could easily see yall opening up a 3-5 goal lead.

After halftime could be another story, but for 10 minutes I at least saw some AV possession and attempts to try and score. Villa has been deprived of scoring opportunities so I'd just like to see someone score.

This may be so, but the same can't be said for Ozil or Giroud, despite him scoring a goal.

Gnabry has looked pretty good to me. He's got a very quick turn after he settles the ball, able to get around/past the defender fairly easily. I like how he's so aggressive and straight forward.

Uh oh, got ourselves a game now. Arsenal with a sloppy give away, and then poor awareness from Mertesacker leaving Benteke open on the back post.

Arsenal have lost there nerve here, look incredibly sloppy, and a bit rattled.

Yup, super disappointing and sloppy 2nd half from Arsenal.

Rosicky took an elbow to the nose, that broken nose took plenty of time.

It's funny how Villa's only offense all match has been old school English boot and run hoping to clear it up the pitch and have their athletic Strikers make something out of it, but for some reason this 2nd half it has given Arsenal's backline a world of trouble.

We are certainly a counter attacking team. It just actually looked like it was working in the second half. I think Villa played pretty well. Hard to come back from those 2 goals back to back but they played better in the second half.
