I don't watch enough to feel comfortable voting for an MVP, but among mls journalists Tim for MVP seems to be pretty popular line of thought.

NYRB are so damn ruthless on the counter. Houston hasn't even played that bad this game, they've had a couple half chances, NY's 2 goals were class finishes

They must've played a high school football game at BBVA on Friday because the grass looks in terrible shape right now.

My thoughts as well. I couldn't tell if the crowd went silent because they're down 2 or because he went near post and everyone was just shocked. Dax McCarty is a good player for NYRB.

They play some serious shadow ball at BBVA, I've seen a few midday matches on TV there and it's always something that is very noticeable. If it were FIFA I would turn the game off and switch the settings to night at BBVA everytime.

As an MLS striker I like Bruin, I think he's pretty decent. Lacks any kind of pace, but oh well. Brad Davis is also a nice player.

I guess they didn't think about the shadows as much since it's usually a million degrees in Houston

Petke strikes me as a basketball guy, don't know why. Just has that NE basketball coach swag on full attack.

Olave gets a red. Still a lot of time for something else to happen.

Wow, looks harsh. Yellow, definitely but I don't see a red.

That's the 4th player to get a red card vs Houston in the playoffs

The fact that he didn't get any part of the ball at all was probably the nail in the coffin for that red card

Yeah 2 legged, from the side/behind and didn't touch the ball. Can't be too mad. I probably would've given a yellow, but I've seen more puzzling decisions.
