sure you did.

It translates to that word buts its not meant in that manner.

Just like when Kobe called the ref a fig. Was it in homophobic manner.

Ask your messican friends what the meaning is in there Mexican dialect

tbf, my lady friend and her brother, who grew up in Ecuador and Venezuela and have family in Chile, say that they've always grown up using puta/puto as "female whore/man whore". they had never heard of it being used in a homophobic way.

that said, words' meanings change and clearly it has evolved into a homophobic slur, at least in Mexico. a shame they did nothing.

Are you trying to say there's no Mexican dialect of Spanish? Because that's pretty stupid in its own right.

Secondly, it doesn't matter in what context you attempt to use the word. We all call our friends f@gs when they do something we don't like, we don't mean it to be that they're going blow some dude's dick right off. But it doesn't matter.

I'm not a racist but I can't go on TV and yell NI****!!!! every time Kevin Love shoots a free throw. It doesn't matter that he's not black and it doesn't matter if I'm trying to use it in a different context.

For the record, I don't care that they chant it. I personally think it's funny seeing small children and old people yelling it. But don't come in here and try to play stupid, vato.

Right. They have different meanings in different local dialects. I've talked to people from several Latin american countries and they all have different derogatory slang.

Just like insults in American English can be different from English.

My whole point is that it doesn't matter what context they're saying they're using the word in IMO

Maybe you dont understand Spanish. Its actually very clear that you dont

If they were meaning it a homophobic manner they would chant Hoto.

So what you're claiming is that it would be like an arena full of Americans yelling "homosexual" instead of "f@gg0t"?

So it's like how we all know 'Mexican' means the lowest form of human, but when we all say it we aren't necessarily meaning it that way some of the time?
