It looks like I'm outnumbered today, so I'll keep my thoughts to myself.

Mata on for Sturridge. Sturridge wasn't getting it done today. Seems like a necessary sub.

Could have swore I just heard a "USA" chant after Friedel made an easy save.

Torres actually looks like he's found his pace again, he's outrunning people and doing well with the ball at his feet.

Really weak attempt on the volley by Miereles.

Mata coming on should add some help in the build up and distribution, and definitely in the attacking creativity for Chelsea.

It would be nice to see Drogba come on and play along side Torres.

I was thinking that too. I don't know why, but he's looked much faster in the last 6 weeks than he had looked in the Fall.

I think Lampard needs to come on for Miereles around the 60th.

Drogba come on, but I don't know who for. Probably Malouda, since Ramires is involved in a play quite a bit.

I'd expect to see Lampard for Meireles and Drogba on for Malouda around 60. The way Torres has looked recently, Drogba and him up top with Mata behind them could be lethal.

Drogba already warming up, probably come on around 60 for a midfield player and play the wing striker type deal off the shoulder of Torres. Haven't seen Lampard get off the bench yet though.

It sounds like Jozy Altidore got knocked unconscious in todays AZ game. Not good news for the USA with The Chosen Juan still yet to recover from his injury with the U23s.

ETA: apparently he was shoved into the signage lining the field and was knocked out cold.

Chelsea were definitely the better side these first 10 minutes of the second half, but these stoppages are really killing their momentum.

Drogba on for Malouda like I hoped. Now they just need to figure out where he and Torres play.

I still hope Lampard comes on for Miereles.

What's the deal with Tiote? I'm listening on the radio and the announcers are worried about him.

Caught a Mikel elbow to the nose. I'm not sure if it's broken, but he's conscious. It could be a concussion.

Big move here, Tiote unable to finish. He was running the midfield, great challenges and some very nice distribution actually.
