Lukaku looked like he never controlled a ball in his life. Hazard and KDB were more meh for me. Origi missed two amazing chances, free headers at the edge of the box. For me Lukaku was the worst.

How many goals would Mexico have to lose by to just give up and go home after this game?
Posted on 6/13/16 at 7:22 pm to tom
Since it worked so well last time, "frick Mexico."

Hopefully, just the one, but then again I hope they play Argentina and get demolished like 7-0 more.

Someone more familiar with this Italian squad please answer this: who is the creativity going to come from in this squad?
The problem won't be against a side like Belgium that plays so many attacking midfielders and gets so spread out when attacking. Conte himself couldn't set up Belgium to play any more into Italy's strengths.
Conte's 3-5-2 will do fine counter attacking with even guys like Pelle, Eder playing one-two combinations given all the space afforded and picking out the wingbacks getting forward. Bonucci and De Rossi are more than capable of picking out passes from deep positions.
Even so, Italy was pretty wasteful with some excellent chances (Giaccherini not controlling a lot of defense-opening passes, Pelle's passing off hold ups not as good as it normally is etc etc)
The problem for Italy is more likely to come from lesser sides that sit back and make Italy break them down and counter against the slower defenders.
Really, switching to 4-3-3 with some of Insigne, El Sharaawy and Florenzi being the "creative" sparks is what you'll likely see if Italy needs a goal.

When Italy plays organized, I love watching them. Candreva is always one of my favorite players in international tourneys. I always regret not watching Serie A more when I see Gigi Buffon, Bonucci, Chellini, de Rossi, Immobile, el Shaarawy, Insigne, etc. I miss international Pirlo

I was thinking earlier that during the Euros so far I have really hardly caught myself complaining about diving and shite.
Then there's Copa...
