That’s what sucks. We desperately need a result this weekend too. I think I would trade Tottenham advancing over city in champions league for the 3pts against city in league play.

Egyptian Salah is one of the world's top athletes and is well aware of his capacity to bring about change.
The 26-year-old is one of TIME 100's six cover stars on the magazine's annual list of the world's most influential figures -- testament to his impact since returning to the Premier League in 2017.
In an interview with TIME, he stressed the importance of gender equality, while reflecting on his iconic profile in his homeland.
"I think we need to change the way we treat women in our culture," Salah said. "It's not optional.
"I support the woman more than I did before, because I feel like she deserves more than what they give her now, at the moment."

Props to him for bringing it up. I wonder how people who share his religion feel about his thoughts? Genuinely curious. I always kind of assumed the Egyptian fan base and Muslims alike kind of loved him....similar to Mahrez with the Algerians. They literally flood all City social media about his arse like he is the greatest thing in the world.

On another note, I finally nutted up to watch the game last night.

Absolutely insane match. Almost assuredly the match of the season. Both teams left everything out there. Even though we lost it was good to see the players bounce back from every setback in the match.

Sterling may be a top 5 player in the world at the moment. He is absolutely insane. Love the kid to death.

Laporte had to make his Instagram private. Poor fricking guy.

If Spurs get by Ajax I hope they win. I pretty much want the winner of their tie to win it all.

This is why I was so furious after the first match. Pep and his cowardly approach away from home effed us so bad. Laporte deserves the criticism, but he's been so solid all season, he was the right decision. Give credit to Spurs and VAR for fricking us again.

Man I hate VAR.....everyone on here knows that, but Aguero was unfortunately offsides and I think once the Llorente goal was given you couldn’t overturn it. Had handball been called originally I think that call would have stood as well.

It’s easy to blame to Pep in hindsight, but if Aguero sinks that penalty in the first leg I think we would have put 2-3 or by them and rolled in the tie.

I dunno why he does this all the time in the UCL

did the same shite last year playing KDB in the low bock of a 2 man midfield at Liverpool.

Got it wrong in a bad way with Bayern

Its like he shells up away from home now bc he doesn't have Messi.

I am by no means saying we would have won the tie, but had VAR been a part of the UCL last year those matches go completely different.

Our biggest problem is our mental toughness in Europe. For whatever reason if something goes wrong in a huge match against a great side we completely lose our heads for 10-15 minutes and it always costs us.

Both Liverpool games, both legs vs Spurs, second leg against Monaco.

The addition at the end made it.

As far as I know Mansour hasn’t been linked with terrorism, but I will admit i’ve never looked into it.

Slavery is the big one City fans get knocked for supporting the club.

My rebuttal to that insult every time is that middle eastern countries do not operate like the rest of the civilized world. Slavery obviously should not exist, yet it has throughout all periods of civilization.

I would not tolerate it if Mansour somehow gained control of Texas and made it a thing.....and I think almost everyone would have that same line of thinking.

Yet nobody is going to the UAE trying to end it on their own accord from here. So why should anyone or myself act high and mighty about being a better person for liking the club/criticizing the owner, who has attended a single game since he purchased the club, when at the end of the day nobody is going to do shite about it.

Sad reality unfortunately, but people liking/disliking the club isn’t going to change anything.
