Just play the reserve squads.
I don't think anyone has anything left in the tank.

I mean to be fair, half the quarters were prem teams this year, so it was likely to end up with an all PL tie somewhere

Correct, at least when talking about a deflection off a teammate.

Is there anything in the rules to explain why this is offside?

Genuinely curious

The law says last touched by a teammate, not passed.

I still am shocked that handball wasn’t called on llorente. That is the only questionable decision, imo.

It wasn't really questionable though.

It definitely nicked his forearm first. But his forearm was also against his body.

I get it led directly to a goal, but there's not much else he could do. I don't think it's called on a defender in that situation. I would've been cool with over-turning it, but it would've been brutal.

This the first City game you've watched this season?

Even if he played bad today, Laporte has been fantastic all season.

Just want to give Spurs props for closing it out.

4 out of their 6 subs were because of injuries in this tie.
Honestly was not expecting a result from them.

"A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched by a team-mate by interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or..."

Yeah, I'm just curious about why? Like why is that the rule?

Someone kicks out to block the pass, it hits their shin, and it's offside?

Feel weird

I'm ok with letting it stand.

Unfortunately for us, next year the rule goes into effect that would disallow any goal that comes into contact with an attacking player’s arm.

Why are any of the rules the rules? What a weird little argument to have.
