It sounds like De Gea told Ole he was clearly distracted by Gryf and would have made the save except for him being there. Now that is funny, maybe he had a ten foot pole he was going to pull out his arse!! When you have no skin in the game it’s fun as hell when this happens.

True. Chelsea got a goal where the line of sight was clearly obstructed by an offside player. De Gea’d line of sight was not obstructed and Gylfi didn’t interfere with the play so it should stand. To quote SCH, anyone with half a brain should know this

He basically said he wouldn't have been upset if it stood because DDG wouldn't have made the save.
Your man was part of the run of play in an offside position sitting in front of the keeper.

They just said Ancelotti has gotten into the refs locker room. This is fantastic.

Was De Gea’s vision obstructed? You think it was? Sorry bby I didn’t realize De Gea was one foot tall.

Pundits have opinions and sometimes they are wrong
so we can agree to disagree but fact is he was in direct path of the ball in an offside position while sitting in front of the keeper. By the letter of the law the goal does not stand.
Three years ago its a 100% goal

You do realize he was part of the run of play in an offside position and had to lift his legs up for the ball to head in right?

I'm ok with the offside call, my only question is did the defender make a deliberate attempt to play the ball? If so, then it should be a good goal.
I'd also add, at the moment of the shot, the attacker was laying on the ground in an offside position directly between the ball and the GK.

That and he was in the direct path of the ball while its on its way in the net.
He is part of the play while in an offside position.

For being correct??
No one can argue the fact he is part of the play while in an offside position. Once he moves his legs out of the path of the ball he is part of the run of play.

Aston Villa just got screwed. Should’ve been a goal kick.
