Also, as a reminder: according to Manchester United's manager, they need to spend more money to be able to beat Burnley.

Your irrational Jose hate is borderline creepy

Jose is correct about competing with City in terms of spending. You just ignore the message bc you don’t like who it is coming from.

City has no budget, while United still have been priced out certain players. Pep has spent almost £100 million more than Jose since they both came to Manchester. We still have to operate like a club that can’t take loses when City doesn’t have that to worry about.

Facts are facts, one club is owned by a country that doesn’t have to worry about a bottem line.

Pep has spent almost £400 million so I’d expect them to be head and shoulders above the rest.

They are both checkbook managers.
Pep just has a deeper wallet.

Priced out? United hold the 3 largest transfers in the EPL, wtf are you talking about

ETA: Before today. Forgot about VVD. Still the top 2.

You are correct

Also Conte has spent more the last two years

City has the luxury to match any counter offer for any player

When others don’t, when what the selling club ask for doesn’t meet some like United or Liverpool’s metrics on what a player is worth.

Yeah, god forbid we walked away from Palmeiras when they counter offered our £27 mil offer with £32 mil.

I still remember when we offered £45 mil for KDB and got flack for paying the £55 mil.

Like no, we just can identify actual talent and will pay whatever it takes.

In terms of not meeting the valuation we see them at.

This isn’t hard to grasp

Age,position, ability all play into the metrics

Like Inter wanting £50 million for old arse Perisic. United won’t pay that

Bc you have no limits on a player you want

We still do. We looked at Pogba and Lukaku and said they meet all the marks and we will pay.

And City have to compete with United. That is the name of the game. United playing the poor card is joke.

Let's go look at net spending for the last few years where Chelsea is closer to the Crystal Palaces of the world than City or United.

Net spending is pointless when talking about big clubs who bring in tons of revenue unless you won’t meet FFP for a few years.

All that matters is that City is top of the table and United aren't.

Pogba I can buy. Jose looked at Lukaku and said, "yeah that's a 75M player."?

BOTH teams have paid what was needed for a player they truly want and need. City had ZERO fullbacks on the roster. They went out and bought young, good, high-potential players, price be damned. You're out of your skull if you think United wouldn't do the same.

Money well spent. On players and coaches.
