hey don't "banter" with SCH... You are a scouse and he is a manc. If you were from England you would understand. Obviously since no one on this board is from either city, you wouldn't understand. He is living in Germany and totally explains whats its all about because he grew up in Manchester since he was a wee lad.

Going to sing about all of you being terrified of us in the years to come. There isn't a more promising, positive, potential-full club in England right now.

I'm much more worried about City. Their squad is light years ahead of both of ours and they undoubtedly have the resources to ensure it stays that way.

Right but they can be beaten. Whether by Jose's defensive organization or our midfield pressing, both of our squads have proven you don't need to have the most expensive squad in the history of the world (true story) to beat the the most expensive squad in the history of the world.

Certainly they can. Both of us were in position to do so until the final couple of weeks of the season. I just don't understand how, with our teams respective significant faults, Man City allowed it to even be close at all. I'm afraid next year they will put it all together. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I definitely don't see us having the same level of success against the top squads, but hopefully we can make up for it by not dropping a million points to relegation fodder.

Motivation. We both have managers that instill a pride in the shirt and the club. Our players would run through a wall for their respective manager. I don't see that with City. I guess its a byproduct of buying your way out of a problem instead of solving it traditionally. I don't know really, other than that its glaringly obvious that half of City's players go through spells of lazy carelessness in games. Their talent bails them out most of the time, but not always.

Yeah, because Liverpool was somehow different in the way it improved over the last two - three seasons? Rodgers and FSG have bought and brought a ton of players in on loan.

Yeah and how many were established at the level City's were? Don't be an arse. You know exactly what I mean. Roger's had to develop young talent out of academy players and signings who, at the time, were utter failures. The work he's done with Sterling, Henderson, Flanno, Studge, and Allen has been nothing short of remarkable. Not one of those players were playing at the level they are now when they were signed.
