Looks like Mbeumo might be the next signing.

Bruno staying per Fab. I was going to be happy either way, just glad it's settled now.

Sancho is coming back home too!

It’s official that Garnacho is leaving this summer.

I’ll give it to INEOS, they don’t pussyfoot around and then make panic buys at the end of the transfer window.

I was wrong. They haven’t done shite in the past 50 days. Haven’t even managed to unload any of the excess baggage.

In semi United related news, Elanga to Newcastle for 55M quid.

Ralf fricking knew, yes he did. If only United had listened and not fricked him off.

It’s the same shite every year because the Glazers are still the majority owners. The illusion that they would just hand over the club to Ineos is hilarious.

More than halfway through the transfer window. United have signed one attacking midfielder in Cunha. Have been chasing Mbuemo since the opening day, still haven't gotten the deal done. Yet the most dire need is a striker and we didn't bid for any of the top targets in Ekitike, Gyokores, Sesko, Osimhen. Rumors starting to trickle in of us being stuck with a FA signing of some old head striker again.

We still haven't sold any of our so called "outcasts." We haven't received one bid for Garnacho, Rashford, Sancho, or Antony. The club constantly pushing this broke narrative and "we have to sell to buy" was idiotic, now clubs know we are desperate for cash and will just wait until the end of the window and get a discounted price.

Hard not to be negative, but its the same cycle every summer. We don't get our signings in time for preseason, so the new players aren't integrated into the system in time for the season.

Striker is big but I actually think hitting on a CDM is the bigger need. We are obviously preparing to play Bruno as an 8 in midfield and Ugarte just doesn't have the physical profile that this team needs and Casemiro doesn't have the legs. Maybe they think they can get more out of Casemiro with no European fixtures to navigate but I'm not convinced.

Honestly, if we can't get a top level striker I am fine with standing pat with what we have now and try to develop Hojlund. It's a sobering proposition but we should not be expecting to compete for top 5 next year anyway.

The selling/culling of the team is the biggest thing for me. You can't expect top dollar for any of these players at this point...pricing Garnacho at 70M is beyond foolish.

It is a world cup year so at least we have prime Luke Shaw to look forward to.

I don't disagree here but i know we are not competing for top 4 (or 5, whatever it is now). I just prefer to get a striker and scoring goals. At least it would be entertaining. If we could actually close on Mbeumo and add a striker, I think we could be fun to watch. When Spurs scored in the final, they just sat back and waited for the clock to run out. It felt like that was all season.

We quite literally cannot score goals, our biggest problem the last two seasons has been we do not create. Just go look at our goal difference. We only outscored the bottom three and Everton last season

We cannot wait and develop Hojlund, if we don’t score goals we could literally be in a relegation scrap again.

We do need another midfielder to play in the 2 because Bruno runs around and imbalances everything. Casemiro and Ugarte aren’t good enough to pick up for that. I just think goals are the pressing issue.

I understand the trauma from last year as well as anyone, but I think we are going to see more goals per 90 than last year regardless. In this particular window where we are obviously strapped for cash, I'm giving Hojlund another year (with a proper off season under Amorim) and hoping Cunha and possibly Mbuemo can raise the offensive floor of this squad significantly.

I understand the "must replace Hojlund now" sentiment and do not really disagree. We need a more consistent keeper too...It's literally just triage at this point. The biggest glaring weakness of this team is the lack of a physically dominant 6 that can win headers and help us keep more possession/win the ball back in midfield for quick transitions. If we are spending decent money, get me one of those. I would much rather an Amadou Onana than an Ekitike.

The midfield is an issue and it’s obvious we don’t have a good box to box nor a holding cm which the Amorim system requires for the two. Bruno is a cam playing in a 2 which doesn’t work. (I think we should have gotten rid of Bruno btw).

But stats don’t lie when it comes to our front line. We don’t create enough chances, our wingers don’t pass, our strikers are never in position. We will finish bottom half if we don’t sign a better striker or Hojlund improves 10x. He has only scored 14 goals in 2 full seasons, a striker/center forward in the top half of the league gets 15+ per season minimum.

Took two months for us to eventually pay over Brentfords initial asking price, this club dude

At least he's quality.
