Well it’s basically the same team as the last two years that trotted out there. Maguire and Lindelof kept getting deeper and deeper as soon as they started feeling pressure then started playing those dumb arse long diagonal balls. MU need new players to control the midfield so bad.

United's transfer window has been absolute shite. New coach needing a squad rebuild, especially in midfield, and they haven't brought in a deep lying midfielder at all. They actually haven't purchased one in four years.
The one they decide to target wants nothing to do with the club. Recently reports have said he doesn't want to leave Barcelona but if he does he wouldnt move to United because they don't offer Champions League. He'd prefer Chelsea over United....

Eriksen as a deep lying playmaker in the 4231 is a massive upgrade to the midfield in my opinion, guess we'll see. Gives defensive duties to Fred, I think we could do a whole lot worse like rolling with McFred again.
ETH's system also calls for fullbacks to tuck into the defensive line in more central positions.
So I'm not all that alarmed that they've not broken the bank on a true dm, which FDJ is not btw.
