Look, frick the glazers, but EtH decided it was a good idea to publicly comment that United should be sold. What incentive do the glazers have to spend any money before they sell the club?

I actually don't rate Gakpo. I've seen him over the last couple of seasons and he's not clinical enough for me. He needs too many opportunities to score and at the top level you just don't get many. Can he become more clinical, sure, but I'm not betting on it.

I think United is such a heavy weight from a marketing standpoint that signing gakpo from a valuation standpoint is going to do nothing at all.

Eh, I think in years past that's probably true. Now with Liverpool up for sale which club do you think a potential buyer would want to take a chance at? One has a good squad, champions league football, updated stadium/facilities. The other has an aging stadium and facilities, not in the champions league, more money to spend to update the squad.
United as a club requires so much investment on top of the 6-7 Billion price tag the glazers have attached to it.

Honestly, I was expecting us to look a little bit rusty but we played a well-composed game. Nott'm Forest isn't a good team, but I'm pretty happy at the results and I'm pretty optimistic heading into the new year.
