yep, my fear is that LvG basically says, "see, this is why we don't play open attacking football. because we give up too many goals that way and still draw." of course in broken english.
This is my fear as well. That we'll never attack again.
And this is where I do have to blame LvG to some extent. There has to be more balance and more options than (1) snuff all life out of the game with aimless possession and try to win 1-0, or (2) attack and be a complete shambles at the back. At this point in his tenure, I do expect more. It's his responsibility to get the players in the side who will implement his tactical vision. He has had the time and resources, but I'm not seeing the final product. We are really bad at the moment.

Liverpool were def the better team in the first half. Second half especially the last 30 mins we were the better side.
But dave thank you sooo much.
Rooney is on fire right now. Proving a lot of people wrong. As the saying always goes. Form is temporary. Class is permanent.
Take a look at the Liverpool thread, Bleed is on some shite right now. Saying we are heading for mediocrity lol.

Lol this will not happen again for awhile. The Moyes season was just turnover and it happens. But in the long run it's just a faint blip on the radar. United are a good side for the most part, whose offense has just been in a slump.
Even as a City fan, the problem with United is the implementation of tactics IMO, not necessarily the players. There's young guys making a difference every game.

Manchester United's players were 'shouting and screaming' at each other so loudly at Anfield that Liverpool players could hear them from their own dressing room.
The heated exchanges came at half-time, when it is understood senior players, including captain Wayne Rooney, voiced concerns at their first-half performance and how cheaply they were giving the ball away.
Manager Louis van Gaal was happy to 'stand back and let them get on with it' before making his own views known
Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho has claimed he heard United rowing furiously during the break and United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin confirmed the atmosphere was heated.
United had been second best at Anfield, relying on goalkeeper David de Gea to keep them in the game. Sakho says a row was audible from the away dressing room.
'United were lucky and they know it,' the Frenchman said. 'We could hear them shouting in the dressing room at half-time.'

Btw, for those who haven't seen yet, Martial's transfer contract was leaked the other day.
From reddit:
From reddit:

We paid €50m (€20m immediately and €30m in July 2016), and there are three add-ons (that are pretty much common knowledge): €10m for each of: 25 first team goals for MUFC; 25 Official Caps for France; Martial nominated for Ballon D'or. (My edit: Looks like it means the shortlist, not the final 3).
Buried further down is that if we sell AM for more than €60m before 2018 we will split 50% of the profit with AS Monaco up to a certain amount (€90m-€110m) that is determined by what clauses have been activated.
