He actually played pretty well. As did Borthwick-Jackson. The Powell for Mata sub mind boggled me though.

A lot of the young guys played well. It was a strange audition for some of them though. Wonder why LvG fielded a youth team in front of Ashley Young, who was on the bench? Must be something to that since he's been a favorite in the van Gaal era.

Well Basti is out for three league games after accepting his violent conduct charge.

Well, I'm ready to call LvG a failure. He's spent tons of money, moved players in and out, had plenty of time and still he doesn't get the results that he should be getting at United. Also, I'm curious as to if his training program is one of the reasons United has had so many injuries.

I am not.. its just a spell teams go through from time to time. it will improve.

we had large spells of injuries with Sir Alex too.

Definitely a disappointing result. Definitely should have kept Hernandez or Wilson around but to call the whole period a failure is a little premature. we had a bad spell at the start of last year and played our way out of it. Im sure we will do it again

Frustrating and borderline unwatchable at the moment. Chelsea could likely beat us and that's saying a lot.

ETA: Still top 4 b/c tottenham lost to newcastle.

Was there a buyback clause in the Hernandez deal?

U21s: FT - #mufc 6 Leicester 1. Powell and Redmond hit doubles with Weir and Rashford also on the scoresheet for the rampant Reds.

no no

If you ever watch our U-21's they play completely different style than the senior squad.

Rumors flying that United are going to sack LVG for Ancelotti. I take all rumors with a grain of salt though. Especially dealing with the EPL

I don't like sacking managers. Even though Moyes was disaster. I stuck with him until the end. LvG is doing what he was brought into do. Fix a broken roster and give youth a chance. The big hire is the one after him. He won't be here after the 2016/17 season. So I'd just let him see his contract out.

lot of respect for that guy. don't think he's ready to be the top man yet, though. not too far off, however.

Thoughts for solutions to recent struggles?

Keep LvG?
Go for Jose?
Go for Carlo?
Go for Pep? (Timing a bit tricky).
Promote Giggsy.

I haven't decided my preference yet.
