So the Telegraph is reporting Jose and Mata have come to an agreement. He'll stay at the club but won't be a permanent first-choice player in front of Mickey.

Maybe? Rooney is there right now. Mickey can slot into the RM role opposite Martial with Rooney in the hole and Zlatan up top. I guess a perfect world would have Mickey in the hole with Martial and an in-form Memphis on the wings.

Yeah. It's just a matter of if or when Memphis steps things up. He's done better in his work since last season, but he still needs to show a lot more.
