Through 50 games both have won 27 matches, with LVG having three more draws than losses.

How much time does LVG have at this point? For some reason I thought he was doing way better than Moyes but I was obviously wrong.

Is it basically as long as you guys finish in the top four he'll stay? Or maybe another year after to this win the EPL? What are you're expectations?

You're lucky your takeover bros were better than Malaga's takeover bros.

Bring Pellegrini back to Spain.

my favorite is when people say they've won the same amount of games. quit being so short sighted.

he finished better in the table AND qualified for champion's league. two of Moyes's failures.

if he finishes out of the top 4, he's gone. if he is 3rd or 4th twice in a row i think he's gone and giggsy is up.

I mean if you're happy with a United manager winning barely 50% of his matches then good deal.

That's what it comes down too. That is WAY too low of a win % for United.

That Van Gaal is buying young non-English players is probably a plus for the future.

If they can keep them when he leaves.

Not sure the results (or style or tactics) have been any better even with a lot more spending, especially considering that the EPL was tougher at the top of the table during Moyes tenure (at least in points necessary for a CL spot).

Trying to spin his dealings in the transfer market in to a positive is an interesting route to take

What does this have to do with anything?

A lot of Arsenal fans would argue Arsene's reluctance to spend in the transfer window could be his biggest weak spot as a manager.

This thread gives me a chance to post this link. LINK

quote:

"They play football – and have done for 12-18 months – at 1-0 and 0-0 like they're winning 4-0," he added.

"It's not quick enough. They play really well, are dominating the game, have 65 per cent possession, have more shots but you have to score goals to capitalise on the football you're playing.

"They haven't got enough cutting edge. They haven't got players who can beat men in the final third, they don't create enough. They get lulled into thinking they're playing football really well.

"They dominate possession but they don't dominate the match. You dominate the match by scoring goals and playing at a high tempo. Win the game and then control possession.

I've been saying the same thing since they went on their winning streak last year. This year they are structurally sound but their buildup is almost painfully slow.

Why are Arsenal fans still talking shite?

English cups mean nothing.

You can't win the league, and you suck in Europe.

Because I love shitting on teams. I don't care what team it is. I'll shite on my own, and have before. Just because I'm a fan of a particular team doesn't mean I can't shite on other teams.

I'm not sure what you are getting at. Some of the best and most involved posters on this board are Arsenal fans.
