When Puyol leaves it is some bad shite.

SCH, ManU or Arsenal should see if Captain Caveman wants to come out of retirement. He could easily still play for either team.

He isn't coming, but why do you say the money for the (arguably) current top player would be wasted?

Is it purely because of FFP? This is semi-understandable. However, some people have stated possible ways it may be done within FFP.

Again, I don't see him leaving to go anywhere. I think the rumors being started by who he follows on social media to be funny.

Oh you need Messi at the Bridge you just don't know it.

Seriously I would laugh my arse off if Chelsea of all teams whips out 150 mil for Leo.....that would be rich.

Because he'd have to score 40 goals a year for 5 straight seasons to come close to justifying a price tag of 150 million. Also we don't need him. Defensive errors are our problem, not attacking.

How many shirts get sold in Asia and Africa the first day?

Think of the increased sponsorships given to Chelsea for the kit. Adidas would gain Messi on a Adidas team, Turkish Airlines deal may become sweeter, all this and maybe more based solely on the acquisition. So yes, he would be expensive. However, his price would easily get subsidized by increased sponsorships.
