A group of business and sports leaders has gotten together to bring MLS to St. Louis. I'll post at LINK ASAP. Names too.

Inbox: St. Louis Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III & Blues CEO Chris Zimmerman are leading a new group which aims to bring MLS to the city
Not long now before we start beating that arse

It will eventually happen but don't bank on it with in the next 5 years.
If Miami with Beckham isn't a done deal bc we are waiting on a stadium then St Louis is going to have to wait.

Oh I agree. Still a long way to go but this is finally a step in the right direction.

I think they said 2020 at earliest.
Hopefully they team up some way with the Gallagher program to make one fantastic academy structure.
MLS Soccer could be great for St. Louis. I'm happy for them.

STL will probably be one of the last teams once the MLS ends expansion for good, since pro/rel with MLS/MLSII is not going to happen

It really could be a perfect marriage between a club and a community.
The positive impact and love for soccer can really bring that city together on every level from youth to corporate.

Stl county is investing 14mil into gallaghers place, to build tourney fields, and hold big tourneys.

A buddy from my high school played for scott gallagher, after, i believe they merged with Liebe back in the late 80's..
Kevin Kalish brought him to SIUE to coach the goalkeepers, now with Kalish is back with Gallagherfter being fired at SIUE couple years ago.
If guy i know gets fired at SIUE, i see him as a player in MLS/Gallagher academy, taking a goalkeepers, coaching gig.

This will likely be my team, especially if they are called the Steam Rollers.
I've been flirting with KC and Seattle due to atmosphere, kits, etc. But ultimately I'm still trying to settle on one team.

A future Missouri Derby would be great. Might have to make a road trip for that one.

Great future rivalries with SKC and Chicago. Chicago has essentially been an isolated team. The introduction of minnesota and hopefully St. Louis will help the soccer presence and enthusiasm in the Midwest greatly.

Honestly, I forget Chicago even has an MLS team.
