What is the least racist society?
I've lived in Pensacola Florida, San Diego CA, San Francisco CA, Genova Italy, Cagliari Italy, Rome Italy and New York NY.
I would love to believe there's somewhere less racist than those places but I have my doubts.

So are you saying those places are racist or not racist?

That there's a lot of racism in every one of them.

I think there's racism wherever you go. I think a better measure is the number of people who are accepting of those who are different from them.
By that measure, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe, and even China/Korea/Japan seem to be some of the most racist places on Earth.

yup. as i said earlier, trying to rank the morality of countries is pretty pointless. we're just as shitty/probably shittier than much of the world.

Except that we're not.

Genova Italy
I had food poisoning here last fall.
It was French food, and I had been on a train all day. When the train finally stopped, I felt so shitty I was basically laying on the sidewalk in front of the train station.
Not so cool story bro, I know, but I wish I could have seen the city on a more positive note.

I had pesto pizza in Genoa that was pretty good. Wish I had gotten to see more of the city, but I was basically just there for the US friendly. Which we won.

Yeah, and the more there's actual immigration and the usual politically charged scapegoating the worse it gets.
I absolutely love Japanese people. . . a lot . . . but when I was in Japan it was odd the amount of racially charged comments I received.
I look like a blonde Scandinavian and was called things like a "white ape that should be back in the zoo" buy a lot of older people.
I found it pretty funny but it was kind of surprising.
I should also add that anytime it happened all the younger Japanese people around seemed extremely embarrassed by it and apologized profusely.

That's good that the young kids felt embarrassed by it. Do you speak Japanese or something? How did you know what old people were calling you? Also, just be thankful you aren't black. I think Korea and Japan have a ways to go before accepting black people.

except that we are!
i mean whatever way you want to look at it, governmental policies from federal down to municipal, societal, individual...we've got racism (and other shitty things) everywhere!

Yeah, racism is everywhere but mainly just different in different places due to different periods of immigration etc. . .
I grew up the US south and defend it profusely against a lot of false stereotypes but there's also still a degree of racial hostility that's worse than anywhere I've ever been except maybe New York.
