Thought Bajcetic played pretty well, would love to see him start getting some league match PT.

We looked worse once Fab came in for him lol.

But in all honesty, guys who can run and play with energy may be better, even with some mistakes, than guys who can't.

I agree about Baj. He can’t be worse than our current MF’s.

We are not very good right now. We got everything we could last year out of certain players and this year our frugal shite of not adding into the squad has caught up to us. We were on our perch again but FSG’s cheap asses didn’t add to our team like real owners do.

I think the team is tired after the past few seasons. Several of the midfielders have lost their legs at the same time. I don’t understand Fabs complete drop off ad his age. Bajo, mistakes and all is miles better than Fab and it’s easy to see the difference when Fab comes on.

We did not develop or sign talent especially at midfield. Midfield has like 4 players under 22 and 4 players 29 or above. None 24-28 in their prime. Some of the kids like Curtis Jones have not developed like we thought. Some are bad fits for our system.

Plus a lot of these guys have been resigned to high wages. I don’t necessarily subscribe to the FSG is cheap narrative, but I do believe there was a lack of ruthlessness and strategic planning with the contracts and some of the ages these guys are.

To date I don’t think FSG has taken money from Liverpool. They are using the funds to pay for stadium expansions, training facilities etc. our facilities are top notch compared to many of our rivals. The stadium is getting to 60k. This will all pay dividends in time but with the current squad feels like a wasted moment. Very arsenal like when they had to pay for the stadium and counted on Wenger to make CL no matter what the squad had.

Also to add - yesterday was not a good performance. But we the last couple of matches we have showed more grit and the fact that we didn’t concede again should grow some confidence. Just need the attack to show up at some point.

Seems like a thankless job to own a team unless you’re Ryan Reynolds

If I’m FSG I sell now
Newcastle will change the league to a big 7 and more money is on the way to other teams

I think its time to also put some questions to Klopp (and I love him).

But guys who clearly can't do the job are put back into the same position. We are toothless in attack.

Is it possible some of the players, who have been pushed and pushed to the limit by Klopp for 4 or more years, are not longer responding to his methods? Are tired of him (like a Jose Mourinho, but without the actual implosion)?

I think losing in the FA cup is a blessing, but I would have preferred to go out while still building a foundation of stronger performances.

Depressing end to last season. Depressing entirety to this one. We are in a fricking spiral.

Need to pull a rabbit out of the hat in the champions league or we are out of Europe and saddled with an aging squad. It'll be an uphill battle to get back. This is why you don't ignore your midfield for 3 years. We sat idly by while everyone else got better. You can't afford to sit on your hands in transfer market regardless of depth or current talent, building for the future should be a constant process.
