60 million.. Henry would take it. He'll take 52-55 from Arsenal.

I certainly hope not. For his sake.

Liverpool FC 2013/2014 - Season Long Thread
Here is the exact quote from an article in January...
quote:
'But I want to say now that, if you want to know what will happen to me if we don't qualify for the Champions League, then I will say this: I have a contract with Liverpool and I am very happy here. I will stay.'
I guess he forgot Brendan's promise during this interview
Just tweeted that to Suarez plus link.

Methinks this is gonna get ugly. I mostly wish it would just end though. Transfer dramas wear me out.

I know I'm a philosophy major so I sound like a fricking pussy, but it bugs me when celebrities or athletes are held to a different moral standard than fans hold their societal peers to.

Elaborate.
What do you mean exactly.

Have you ever lied to an employer before? Have you ever said something to an employer, or anyone else for that matter, that you ended up not being able to follow through on, or happened to just completely change your mind on the commitment?
im not defending Suarez so we're clear, this is a blanket statement that applies to all athletes/celebrities

I'm holding him to the same level of honesty he is apparently holding LFC to... in their "relationship"
I really want him gone now... TBH, I dont even care if its Arsenal at this point..

It doesn't have to be ugly for Liverpool. Just come out and say we're not against Luis leaving. Someone just needs to pay the appropriate price. Wenger is trying to get our ferrari for price of a BMW and is colluding with the player to do so. Why was the bid 1 dollar over?
To be fair, I think that its a reasonable offer, had it been from anybody other than Arsenal I think Liverpool would likely have accepted it. Of course, I think you could argue that his value is actually higher than that, but given all of the circumstances surrounding the situation I think its a perfectly reasonable offer. Like I said earlier though, I wouldn't even consider selling him to Arsenal unless the offer was insane.

Bingo.

Well I don't think Pool were considering Arsenal's offer, hence why Suarez felt the need to come out and say something. He's trying to put Liverpool in an untenable situation because 'Pool has the upper hand. This is a calculated move, and we will see what 'Pool will do. Now that he has said it in public, it changes the tenor of the relationship. 'Pool would have to be cold-blooded as frick to keep Suarez on the bench. Also he could refuse to play. At some point 'Pool could decide to sell to save face, or keep him, but since there is vague language in the contract I think this goes to arbitration.

What would happen to a business person who bit a person from a competing company?

After what John W Henry said today... I have a feeling he is ready to dig in, unless a crazy offer comes in..

Depends, was it at the company Christmas party? Because those get.... craaazzzzyyy

Being cold blooded is what's best for the club right now. Unless Arsenal drop around 70. Its just not worth anything less.

Well if I'm not mistaken, didn't he admit that he read the clause incorrectly?
