I'll still believe it when I see it, but Real getting lost in pursuit of Bale has given us a legitimate shot.

I am as well. Would be nice to see us splash some cash. It is just so unlike Wenger.

I think the media wants Suarez to leave more than he does

This. I am still of the opinion that Suarez is going nowhere.

Interesting to see Joe Allen as the most advanced MFer... He could have had a hat trick if he was a better finisher and inch taller..

Maybe. But Ayre and Brendan have both been clear that Suarez won't be sold to Arsenal and that he has been 100% committed since he returned to training.

My observations from the game.

It's only a pre-season friendly but our weakest links were the two fullbacks. Johnson and Enrique, both rely purely on pace to beat their man, very little skill and not a good final ball.

Allen made great runs and was quite effective but imagine a good finisher in his place (read Mkhitaryan). Now I see why Brendan said he wanted 20 more goals from midfield. If it were Mkhitaryan instead of Allen in the middle he'd of got 3 in the first half.

Lucas looks like he is improving constantly.

And Aspas needs to learn finishing better cuz if he does, boy have we got something special.

Also Hail Stevie G.
