IF Suarez stays... the early transfer window aside, we need more quality signings... 2-3 that can step into the first team or we may as well sell him now and get the rebuilding process going a year earlier...

I am allowed ONE day of pessimism...

If Suarez stays we have a good squad. I would still put the priority on a wide player and a CB, but like Rodgers said, if quality isn't available..don't waste it. There is good value in January.

we do, but not much has changed...

I think most of our moves, even out for the most part... with the exception of Aspas, since Carroll wasnt around. We need more players in to reinforce and step in....

Carra - Toure
Shelvey - Alberto
Reina - Mingolet
Carroll - Aspas

We will bring in one or two more players. Aspas is a huge upgrade over Carroll. He can play anywhere in the front 3. Another year under Sterling's belt and he is like a new signing himself. This LB (or wide player) we're bringing in on loan as well.

I dont doubt we will be improved, but I want to improve enough for 4th place. If not, whats the point in holding on to Luis...

I agree Aspas is better suited to us than AC and should help a lot while Luis is serving his suspension...

I'm pretty optimistic and am holding out hope for more players... I hope they are ones that can make an impact and can push us towards 4th.

I don't think we will get 4th regardless. Maybe if Arsenal have a ton of injuries again, but I think they will get the 4th spot.

Holding on to Luis is important for no other reason than his transfer fee will be higher next summer

If THFC sell Bale, if they buy smart, I'd give them the nod for 4th...

Well, I wouldn't sell him this year for less than £50 anyway... so it may be a moot point if RM doesnt come in this year...

I'll give the nod 100% of the time to Arsenal until Tottenham prove they can beat them to it. Until then no way will I pick Tiny Tots to finish ahead of them..

And I don't see any of the big 3 dropping out

Interesting. It's about time he breaks through.

Also reading that Skrtel to Napoli on loan may actually happen. About a £2m fee with an option to buy close to £10m.

Don't forget how much better we were in the second half of the year with the players adapting to BR's system and with the signings of Sturridge and Coutinho. Don't get me wrong, this year should be a serious dog fight for the top 4, but if we can stay healthy for the most part and Luis can avoid anymore suspensions, we can be a legit contender for the 4th spot.
