I don't think he is going anywhere at this point. Especially since the Dempsey talk has really cooled down.

Very interesting article. Henry talks about the possibility of selling the naming rights to Anfield to raise cash for the club. I read somewhere else that a Chinese company offered in the region of 300M for that honor. He also goes on to call out other clubs who don't operate within their budgets:
ETA Also, Joe Allen has handed in a transfer request

Henry said Liverpool are looking to be self-sufficient and criticised clubs who overspend. Manchester City posted losses of £197 million for the 2010-11 financial year while Chelsea have already paid more than £60 million to recruit new players this summer.
quote:
"The mandate of Financial Fair Play in Europe is for clubs to live within their means," Henry said. "Recently I was told that half of the clubs in the top divisions within Europe are losing money and 20% are in straits of varying degrees.

"Our goal is to win the Premier League. It's not going to happen this year, but that is what we are building for - first and foremost. That's only going to happen if our league performance turns around substantially."

That is in fact the team. Should be fun.
ETA: Just seconds late.

Really strong squad.

Someone tweeted a good observation...
Agger, Lucas, Gerrard & Suarez all start tonight - at no point last season in any competition were they on the pitch at the same time

Wow. Last season was such a fricking disaster. One problem after another.

I know this is Gomel, but I haven't seen Gerrard look this lively in a while.

What a difference Lucas, Suarez and Agger made to this squad! The 2 performances are like night and day.
Suarez looks awesome. On the first goal, he literally made the defender fall on his arse.
Very encouraged by how Suarez and Borini are playing together. They have the potential to be very exciting this season.
Borini..what can you say? His goal was exactly what we need. Someone in the right position to clean up a bumbling ball. How many times did we see that last season? I think I can count it on one hand.
