You expected Chelsea to have any sense of originality or character? A tall task to ask of them. When I think of Chelsea fans I think of:

They're just a conglomeration of plastic sprues. Each the same as the one before. Sure, some might be different shapes and sizes because of the pieces they hold, but all are still plastic, grey, and lack any sense of uniqueness or identity.

Pepe is now on twitter @PReina25

Also, Cardena SER is reporting we have agreed deal for Aspas £7.7 at 26,000/wk... take it with a grain of salt..

Ive watched him twice and of course seen the clips... not the biggest guy but has pace and a knack for being in the right place... very Chicharito-esque to me... more of a second striker, and Ive read he can play out wide, though I didnt really see that when I watched him...

Plays with a bit of an attitude...

I know Swansea wanted him bad... viewed him as another Michu type signing. I think he will fill in well for Luis while he's out (hopefully not gone) and be an impact sub...

By the way, a lot of people are running with this as a done deal... nothing official however..

Sturridge off with an injury in his first international start. Very unfortunate for him.

He has no one to blame himself for the trouble he gets into with the FA. But he's spot on regarding the journalists. I wouldn't begrudge him one bit if went to Real. I'd root for him in Spain.

But it seems to me from that interview if he were given any way out to a CL team he'd take it because he is completely over England and looking for a way out. I don't really blame either for the way the British Press have dealt with him but as you stated a lot of those issues rose from his own accord ... anyway I'll pull for him any where he goes unless he's playing against our Reds or for ManUre.

I think this is another one of his "misquoted interviews". There isn't a footballer in this world who would not think about Real Madrid or Barcelona were they to make an offer.

He hates the British press and who wouldn't. I would sue people left and right and stop talking to all media if I were in his position. The fact of the matter is that he is happy at Liverpool, he says so himself and isn't actively trying to get to either Madrid or Barca. And the club are not trying to pawn him off. If they do get to the stage that they have an offer accepted he will think about it. That's what I take out of that interview.

I don't know but the fact that he mentioned his wife and kid seems to tell a lot more how he feels than what we get we he tows the party line.

I think there is more reason to be concerned than we want to believe.

As much as I would hate to see him go, I would totally understand why. While I would love to get one more year out of him to try and get the CL football, with all the other factors, it may come to him leaving this summer...

Did he bring SOME of it on himself? yes... but it is what it is now and the fact that he is a world class player, means he doesn't have to stick around in England and have to deal with it..

His talents deserve the worlds biggest stage and there is nothing to suggest that we are lock to get it next year...

All that said, someone is going to have to pony up some serious cash to get him away from us... ~£50mm could go a loooooong way to getting us where we want to be. if it happens, I hope it happens early so we can spend the money wisely..

Again, I WANT him to stay, but there could still be a bright side if he leaves and brings us that kinda money... I too will root for him anywhere outside of England...

Couldn't have said it better but if he is sold I hope we go after more reliable prospects i.e. steal Jovetic from Arsenal and lock the CE deal.

That's only if he sales early ... If he isn't gone in a few weeks he shouldn't be sold at all IMO.

So, today we are being linked with Luis Alberto... Barca B player on loan from Sevilla.. I hear the one stumbling block could be that Barca may choose to activate their option...

I had never heard of him, but this long clip shows that this kid has amazing potential as a playmaker and a goal scorer (I know youtube, blah, blah)...

He's already 20, so I'd imagine that he'd be bought for 1st team and not the reserves.

Luis Alberto
