I'm open to it depending on who we have wide. If it's Borini, then yes I would like to see Downing provide some genuine width. If it's Assaidi (or maybe even Suso) then I would rather a bit more defensive cover (Robinson or Carra).

I guess, but why not give Assaidi the chance before you go out and buy a new guy? He hasn't even started yet. I know he usually plays on the left but modern wingers should be able to switch sides easily. At least try him there before you drop more money.

I was not trying to wind you up,BPG. That was a serious question. As you can imagine,I don't spend much time keeping up with LFC. However,I was interested to see who you thought may be able to make the jump from the reserves to the first team because someone has to. I may want them for my fantasy football team.

Assaidi will get a chance I'm sure. The earliest we could get Quaresma anyway would be January. Even if Assaidi is a complete stud though, we are rather limited at forward. Our front 3 has been completely unbalanced thus far this season, and I would imagine Rodgers is very frustrated because of that. He'd also be coming on a free.

I was just reading about Quaresma and he can sign a pre-contract in january, but we wouldn't get him until the summer.
The article also stated, since he was on a free, he'd want us to match his current £80k/week salary... frick him!
I was intrigued over the summer, but I just dont think he is what we need. I hope we set our 2013 summer bar a little higher

That's the problem. Probably no one. We got this Samid Yesil kid who looks incredible in the youth squad and playing for Germany, but we've yet to see him on the field. Was hoping for him to get his debut against Young Boys last week, but he didn't see the pitch. In any case someone's going to have to step up, whether it be him or Adam Morgan. I don't think either are anywhere close to being ready though.

So I started a Player Career in FIFA 13 with Raheem Sterling 
I was so pumped to bring his rating up. He's a 69.
So the season starts off with what the manager expects from me (play a part in 16 goals, maintain an average match rating of 7.6, create 46 chances on the season, etc). So now I am REALLY pumped and start playing the preseason. Rodgers is putting me first team and I am wrecking shop with Suarez. I had 4 goals and 3 assists in 4 preseason matches. So then the PL season starts. Well Rodgers leaves me out of the week 1 squad. And then I get LOANED OUT TO frickING DERBY COUNTY!!!! frick ME RIGHT!
And the cherry on top is that I'm not getting regular first team minutes at Derby County!!!!!

The transfer window was nuts. Within the first few weeks Chelsea had bought Mario Gomez, Mascherano was at Manchester United, Sneijder was at City and Liverpool had bought Lisandro López (for like 23M)
