Namely, how the frick did they go from World Cup dark horse after raping in the Gold Cup and going undefeated in the third round WCQ (including a win in Costa Rica) to a joke the second the calendar year became 2013?

Have you ever watched the 30 for 30 on Columbia football/drug war titled "the Two Escobars"? I have a hypothesis that similar events have had negative external effect on the Mexican national football team similar to that of Columbia's complete asphyxiation in the 1994 World Cup.
