Let's discuss UEFA's hypocrisy re. Fines

Oct 2002 - Slovakia football federation fined £18,000 for racism
Sep 2003 - Macedonia's federation fined £16,500 for racism
June 2007 - Serbian FA fined £16,500 for racism
June 2008 - Crotian federation fined £10,000 for racism
Sept 2011 Bulgaria FA fined £34,230 for racism
April 2012 – Porto fined £16,700 for racism
June 2012 - Russia and Spain handed combined £40,335 fine for racism
June 2012 - Nicklas Bendtner fined £80,000 for promoting a non-sponsor company
October 2012 - Lazio fined £32,500 for racism
October 2013 - Basel fined £25,500 for a political banner
December 2013 - Celtic fined £42,131 for a political banner
Meanwhile, this week, UEFA trots this banner out:

To me, the Bendtner fine not only seems absolutely necessary but also likely the most effective.
Maybe there's something I missed about the Bendtner fine?? but . . .
the reason I'm glad that UEFA comes down on this is simply that I would hate to watch matches where every single player is continually finding a new way to point out some product name. . .
I also this is something that UEFA can more effectively fine since it's the actual offending individual being fined unlike political protests and racist chants etc

What am I missing?
I didn't really follow the story but isn't the fine to try to prevent players from going nuts flashing company logos everywhere and all the time during matches?
I could care less who pays the fine as long the fine dissuades that shite from happening.

It's just bizarre that FIFA rambles on about stopping racism and then gives a MUCH bigger fine for showing a sponsor than they do for racism.

Bendtner´s is offensive, because it´s cheap guerilla marketing, which has no place.

I´ve seen stadiums protest the moronic acts of individuals, or radical groups, and if you´re not able to discern their vocal disdain with the offenders (as the noise blends), well then........
OP also nonchalantly mixes clubs, federations, hooligans and the crowd at large.

I think there's way too different a dynamic involved to compare these fines in terms of amount being commensurate with offense.
The blatant marketing in the Bendtner situation involved only one player/one company. It's really a very simple issue and there needs to be precedents set and hopefully high enough fines to discourage it from happening often.
Racist fan behavior and how clubs/federations etc can best police it is about as different a dynamic as you can get from that in terms of complexity and the range of good faith opinions on how best it is addressed.
If a player had pulled down his pants to reveal a racist slogan, I'd bet the FIFA punishment would be more severe than Bendtner's to say the least and that's about as far as you can compare the two in my mind.

I believe Iniesta was fined for his handwritten tee shirt tribute to his deceased Espanyol friend, Daniel Jarque, when he scored the WC winning goal.
The fact that Bendnter represented Paddy Power, a betting agency, already very aggressive in their marketing, makes sense that the fine was exemplary.
Otherwise, Europe will not go the way of South America with 80,000 stickers on their strip, they´ll simply bid for the best strikers and atttacking mids to ply their logos beneath the strip, and show them, upon scoring.
