I don’t really think it’s a recruitment issue, we can’t spend enough to get the kind of players to close the gap to them.

With that said, Gruev has no business out there and we already have someone better than him on the bench.

We’ll play better at home next week. But we can’t be so naive in these types of games. GD -4 now. You can’t start Piroe as a lone 9 in a game where you know you need your CF to hold things up and link play. And Gruev should not be starting. I fear tBoss can’t be adaptable enough. We saw him refuse to use the squad for 2 years.

I am concerned Farke will continue his stubborn streak and not be able to really switch things when needed

Hopefully today it was a lesson but I’m not holding my breath

That Sacha guy now saying Forest trying to hijack Bakwa.

Eta- Largie could be going to valencia with Corberan. Loan but with a buy option which makes no sense.

Unless that option is doubled what we paid for him then it is dumb bruh

I appreciate what Farke did to get us promoted, but some of his management of guys brought into the team leave things to be desired. Almost like if he did not have final stamp of approval then he will not change his stance period.

I really want him to at least have a good enough year to keep us up. But keeping the exact system (without Ampadu) and starting Piroe and Gruev just shows no adaptation whatsoever. I really wish we would have tried a back 5. You have to be adaptable and ruthless as a coach at this level. Can’t just keep rolling with it because you beat everton at home. I have a feeling he’ll stick with Piroe but Longstaff should get the nod against his old club. It would probably be wise to get Bijol in there too which will be a tough call (unless you go to a back 5!!)

League cup should let us see what we have in some of those who haven’t played much.

I agree with all of that. Piroe and Gruev are not even close to being Premier League quality. I really thought Longstaff and Calvert-Lewin would start. I don't understand that decision. Also agree that Bijol should start probably for Struijk. Good start to the match and we were competitive for about the first 35 minutes before everything went tits up. Cold comfort. The meltdown after their second goal was reminiscent of the worst of the Bielsa era. Had we gone into halftime only one goal down maybe the score-line would have been more respectable. Hopefully a better result and performance against the bar codes.

I want to throw up every time i think of Largie getting pushed out in favor of freaking Harrison. So glad tBoss had a “defensive winger” on the bench instead of a difference making attacking winger in a match we were always likely to get pumped.

James Justin is kind of trash but we’re huge rich club so for 10m who cares.

10m for JJ on the last year of his contract from a team who needs to sell sounds pretty high but who knows.

Rumor going around that Tanaka has also picked up a knee injury and could be out a few weeks

Hopefully that isn’t accurate but would be a blow
