I have no idea what he’s getting at unless it is related to the Radz JKA tweet, which he may or may not have since deleted.

I also stumbled across this from Willy’s school visit, he’s not even taller than some of the kids

I’d never heard of Gallardo until I read this post but after a few minutes of research I think he might be the next Pep.

I watched a lot of River Plate under Gallardo. It's hard to pin down exactly what he was doing tbh. He changed his tactics a good bit when I watched them. Consistent things I noticed during most matches were:

Pressing
Lethal Counterattacks
Fullbacks very high when in possession.

He seemed to change his tactics from match to match based on the opponent's weakness.

So by “fullback” that means a left or right back? Or center too? So if your fullbacks are high in possession it means they are up with the attacking players? So a more aggressive style, leaves you potentially exposed in the back but may give you more opportunities to score?

Still trying to learn!

Yes

No, they definitely stay home

So if you push your fullbacks high up you definitely need a central midfielder to sit deeper to protect against counterattacks. Some teams (especially using a 3 man midfield) will have a one sit back and one of the other 2 will push up and the other mid who is not as advanced sit a bit deeper to snuff out attacks. No matter what your 2 central defenders need to have good anticipation and concentration. It also helps if they don't have a case of the "has 1 WTF moment per match"

Our fullbacks are definitely used to pushing high from the last 2 coaches.

Our center backs have had a lot of WTF moments the last two seasons as well.

Slot is out. According to the couple paragraphs I plugged into translate it sounds like he may have only taken a mid year move off the table, which is probably the case for most of the names we’ve heard so far.

They’re probably going to have to find a way to patch this together the next few months and then make a long term hire in the Summer.

Sounds like tDucks were not in a row. Although perhaps they got interest from Iraola but didn’t expect him to get blocked from speaking to us, or they had Corberan as a failsafe only for him to sign a new contract.

In Skoobs we trust for now, gang!

Leeds man. My first thought was, as an American with no direct link to the club, why do I subject myself to this haha. I could have chosen any other club to follow but I chose the rollercoaster that is Leeds United. It sure is fun though.

Bruh, it might be a sign. In my FM save in 2028, River Plate just built a 104,000 seat stadium. The name.......Marcelo Gallardo Park
