Arsenal star Mesut Ozil was the victim of terrifying attempted car jacking on a London street by a knife wielding scooter gang.

The 30-year-old midfield ace was set upon by the gang after they boxed in black Mercedes G Class 4x4.

The German international fled in fear after leaping from his car and was chased into a nearby restaurant.

Witnesses said he looked 'terrified'.

His burly Bosnian international Arsenal teammate Sead Kolasinac, 26, leapt from the passenger seat and bravely attempted to take on one of the gang.

Phone footage captured the Bosnian squaring up to the one of the robbers whose face was obscured by a crash helmet.
