Ummm using the EU freedom of movement laws

Interesting esp when Neymar is Brazilian

Freedom of movement does not apply to non European citizens and a work visa in one country does not allow work in another

So much fail bro

I'm going to live vicariously through PSG this year because Arsenal are a dumpster fire and my man crush on Mbappe.

Somehow I have a feeling PSG's lawyers checked the case law for any eventualities, just a hunch. But hey, maybe they just dropped half a billion euro for giggles without looking ahead whatsoever. That's probably it.

They are investigating to see if the club is once again operating beyond what it takes in.

Clearly they are and that why they tried to offload a ton of players.

Will anything come of it. Of course not.

Thats not the case at all

You are a state owned club, that can forever operate in the red and doesn't have to be self sustaining, like the so called old guard clubs.

If one day Qatar decided we are done in the football business. PSG would be totally fricked.

not really considering these 2 transfers are being paid for in lump sums, and PSG has contracts which cover these expenses. You may not like the contracts but that doesn't make them any less binding. Qatar couldn't just up and walk away as their money is too tied up in PSG at this point.

Shockingly PSG also may actually make more money now they have 2 new superstars.

I know you're so concerned about PSG and their fans though

Also PSG have spent only 30 million euro more than Milan have this window but the narrative for them is "oh it's great this classic team is going to get good again!" while PSG is "destroying the sport" And then you have the gall to pretend it's not about protecting the old guard

PSG didn't invent loan-to-buys for budgeting purposes.

This is a pretty good point. I think the scope of the Neymar transfer and how it impacted the fees for the foreseeable future plays a lot into the "destroying the sport" talk... but man, Milan spent a ton this summer and it flew completely under the radar.

The ripple of effect of the Neymar deal has destabilized the market to now even premier league clubs think this is out of hand.

Costa is a hot headed bastard, Neymar is a gaping vagina they are both highly unlikeable but there is a big difference.

QSG is just doing what the big French clubs did to rugby a few years ago.

Which makes it all the more maddening because his antics are what turn many away.
