the state of this board reflects the state of the game in this country. pitiful and an absolute shell of itself.

feel like this generation is missing someone who can pull the strings in the midfield and attacking 1/3. We have midfield bruisers: MMA midfield Speed on the wings: CP, ARob, Dest, Weah But not a game changer at ST or someone who can pick out a pass. This is what happen last WC. We didn't get dominated, but weren't a threat on the offensive end. So our paths to victory is to hope CP does something special or lean on folks until they make a mistake. I have always said IF Gio could play the 10 it at least gives you a chance to pick out a pass to break open the game but he is a head case. At this point, what style of play fits our player pool the best? Previously the style was defend like crazy and play with grit and hope to get one on the counter. But that doesn't fit this player pool. It is obvious they don't have that in them.
We don’t have the defense and GK we traditionally have had either. Put those together and we allow more goals than we should and don’t score as many as we should. That’s a big issue.

No one wants to hear it, but Gregg deserves some credit for how stout the backline was under him despite having the same players that Poch currently has.

Good point. Will be interesting to see how much Poch continues to experiment, especially with having Dest and Jedi for the first time.
