Well, before he even left we had made bids for Suarez and Adam...we wouldnt have needed Carroll if he stayed. I'm just saying he left due to broken promises/failure to upgrade the squad...but he never gave NESV time to prove what their about...

That is the way i see it. There is no doubt in my mind that if Torres is healthy and motivated he is one of the best strikers in the world. But at Liverpool he is literally a sunk cost not worth a fraction what he is paid. Now I'm almost positive that will change when he is at Chelsea, but i don't care how Chelsea does. I care about how Liverpool does, so this needs to happen.
And yeah i am using the old CFB recruiting mentality when we lose a recruit "well we didn't need him anyway", but I think my logic is sound.

This makes perfect sense. I agree that the change in scenery is key. Both clubs win in this deal. Chelsea probably sooner than later.

Would an LFC fan please respond to this: Since the Torres to Chelsea deal isn't 100 % complete, where does the money come from if the deal falls through?

No they hope he's the next Alonso. They do desperately need the distribution, but hoping for him to be Alonso is a good stretch.
