Guatemala is not this shitty, correct? If I´m not mistaken, we were watching a qualifying match there, wherein it was touch and go, and everybody was high strung.

Yes and no.
They're bringing in new folks. They're also playing more direct than usual. Guatemala's MO for the past 10 years has been 10 behind the ball, with Carlos Ruiz diving for set pieces up front.
That leads to shitty 1-0, 0-0 type matches.
