No one was bitching at this when the game was being played. Go look at the game thread. Only after the Torres thing did the "The World hates my team" stuff start coming up.
So because nobody noticed it in real time from a bad angle it didn't happen? Young dove, it's just a fact of life that he does it an this is a good example of why he continues.

Live action/ tv replay is clearly better than GIF
Again, yes live action looked like a red so ok whatever show the red, that is a forgivable mistake by an official. If that had been the end of it there would be little complaints from anyone. Unfortunately it was the first of three massive decisions (two unforgivable) that all went against Chelsea completely changed the outcome of the game and the title race picture.
However, the GIF shows it is clearly not a red and should have been a yellow on Young. He clearly kicks the ground with his left foot and then flails his legs up in the air on the way to ground.

Based on what? Chelsea was playing United off the pitch
The fact that we had 11 and Chelsea had ten. Man Utd was getting overrun in the midfield. The game was still tied at this point and both team were still getting chances. I think United would have dominated with the man advantage.

No a foul, and possibly a card on Evans, would have sufficed.
So torres did nothing to simulate? He did nothing excessive? There was enough contact to flop and dive like he did? Not in my opinion.

Still horrific he was behind EVERYONE, including the keeper.
wasn't behind the keeper but i agree. Only real/ outrageous mistake the refs made. Torres call although harsh had alot to do with the pressure from governing bodies.

Ivanovic was the right call, Torres was the wrong call, the offside was wrong.

Again, players jump over players coming right at them studs up all the time. It could have been easily called a foul for intent even if he had not touched him at all. Not to mention he was also clearly contacted twice. Even light contact on your legs while moving full speed is enough to possibly make someone fall.
Like I said earlier, did Torres have to fall? Probably not. But if you show yellows for everytime someone falls after being contacted every game would finish 4 v 4, at best.

I mean we had the slowed down replays from various angles when we were watching real time; it wasn't like we were at the stadium
No one thought it was a dive until the low quality GIF came around; granted there was little contact but no matter the contact it denied a goal scoring opportunity

Ivanovic was the right call,
Don't know you can watch those GIFs and say that.

Don't disagree totally. However, after watching the GIFs there is clearly no contact at all before Young goes down.

studs up
a different call and has nothing to do with the contact/ lack of contact.
If the ref had made two calls for diving and intent to hurt because the studs were up that would have been fine.

I understand this. which is why i thought no call should have been the decision.
The cleats up is a different issue. if it happened, then sure card evans. but carding evans for contact/ lack of contact is comical

So when everyone on this board and around the world saw it live and in high quality replay, no problem with call.
When low quality gifs come out, foul.
We were all wrong until we saw the anti-hd version?

The two are connected though. I know you have seen plenty of time where a player has gone in wrecklessly and the attacking player jumps over them to avoid dangerous contact and goes down and the ref given the card for the dangerous play.
Essien got a red card going in like this against Dempsey two years ago. Went in two footed Dempsey jumped over him and fell Essien sent off, zero contact. It's part of the rules.

I don't have a problem with the call even after seeing it was the wrong decision because it looked like a sure red in live action.

The definition is irrelevant, you can still clearly see what happened. The thing about the GIFs is that it's from two different angles so even though there are a couple of times it maybe looked like he barely touched him from one angle the other angle shows he clearly didn't.

I agree it was harsh and United did get all the break when it came to the calls, but I Need to do some studying since this saints game is over;
to the soccer board and I challenge all of yall to FIFA later
