Dude you were the one making the point that we suck, not me. I said we were still close to fourth and above united. The post about being above united was to point out the utter homerism and irony of your thread. I can't decide if you're trolling or you really just know that little about the game. Spurs problem was a lack if cohesion amongst players that had never played with one another. There was no chemistry and no understanding because the whole team was revamped. Our problem is a system in which not a single one of our players are suited to play in. When we do play in the diamond we look like an entirely different team because the players are much more comfortable.

I never brought up United in this thread. Liverpool fans did. Then I said we were close in points and United has more points vs common opponents which is true. Then after yesterday I was making the point see how easy it can change.

You don't think maybe you are having the same problem with a lack of cohesion as well with the new players?
It was also clear the players spurs bought also didn't fit the system they were running and it seems to still not be working. Don't forget they fired their manager last season with his shite tactics.
So yea in a way you are pulling a spurs by not replacing your best player with a major player and just loading up the squad with ok players.

Get your head out the sand if you can't realize Liverpool not replacing an impact player is what spurs did. Forget about all the other shite. You are diving way to deep.

Our players fit a high pressing system with two strikers. That's the system we played last year. That's what they were bought for. In the rare occasion we play that system this year we look much better than we are normally. Our frustration is that we rarely play that system anymore. None of Spurs players played in AVBs system and it was obvious. The comparisons are apples and oranges.
As far as the academy guys I'm not sure. I think there are a few who could and should be playing as squad guys right now instead dropping Chelsea level cash on good but not great rotational players.

Rodgers has gotten stubborn. One of his main problems is he now has a group of "undroppable players" - Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Lovren, Skrtel, Balotelli - which makes squad rotation nearly impossible.
Sterling should not be an every week player. He needs to be rotated.
Lovren is at best our third best CB at the moment. There is no reason for him to have started every PL match so far.
Gerrard is slipping and needs to be used differently. He can still start 25 matches a season, but there has to be the occasional squad without him in it.
Skrtel is our best CB at the moment.
Balotelli is supremely talented, but he doesn't suit the single-striker system Rodgers is trying to deploy. He's a target man - he doesn't work the channels. He needs to be in the box getting on the end of balls, yet we literally don't cross.
Henderson is our best midfielder. He's an every week player.
Allen, Lallana, Markovic, Can, Borini, Toure, Sakho all need to have a bigger role than Rodgers is allowing them.
Sterling should not be an every week player. He needs to be rotated.

That's great bantz but one of the two took his team to second place the year before. The other inheirited the champions and ran them Into the ground. Completely different situations and moyes had no success at Man U to fall back on.
Which doesn't mean the heat at BR isn't justified. He should have a short leash - especially if he keeps doing the same things. I think mustoe had a good point after yesterday's game - we had control for most of the first half playing the diamond, then switched it to a 4231 to start the second half and never had control again. Why was BR tinkering with something that didn't need fixing at that point?
Eta - damn auto correct makes moyes into notes but not inheritef into inheirited?
