If a goalie comes out of the box...

Does he become a defender and is considered the offsides line or is the back defender still the offsides marker?

The offside rules applies to the second to last defender (all 11 included), so it makes no difference where the goalie is on the pitch.

The keeper is a defender. He is always in consideration when you are looking for the second to last defenser.

This reminds me when some of us had to explain the offside rules to half the board during that Chelsea v Bournemouth match last year

I remember when everyone forgot the offside rule in WC 2010 in the Mexico-SA game. Even ESPN.

It doesn't show the Mexicans going crazy which was the best part of the whole thing

You must have two people between you and the goal before the pass, no matter who they are.

I used to train referees and this was always our "trick question" on the initial knowledge check. It would let us know who already understood the basics. I guess basics might be harsh because some people don't understand this.
