I don't follow soccer religiously but...

Is it possible for us to have jozy, Donavan, wondo and Dempsey all on the field at the same time. I haven't seen this lineup figured I'd ask even if ridicule was coming my way. If I'm crazy please clarify what our most likely starting lineup will be in the World Cup.

It doesn't seem like Klinsmann likes to use two strikers like Jozy and Wondo but under the right tactics, it seems like it would work, although I don't think Wondo is one of our two best strikers.

Yes.
I highly doubt we ever see that lineup other than a desperate push for a late goal(s). Wondo looks very good, but I dont think he's good enough to warrant a shift in tactics at the start of games.
JK loves his 4-2-3-1. Someone with more tactical knowledge can correct me, but maybe they could do something funky like a 3-4-1-2 or a 4-1-3-2 but that doesnt seem like something JK would try unless he had to.

Personally I think we have to keep with a back line of 4 or we run the risk of giving up way too many easy goals.

I initially read the OP as an expression of frustration that we never have Dempsey and Donovan on the field at the same time. 
I think the lineup for next year's WC will be Jozy as lone striker, Dempsey and Donovan (plus Holden/Zusi) as attacking mids and Wondo off the bench.

Two strikers is kind of antiquated. Most teams would prefer another midfielder to win/retain possession.

With a national team, I think you should build a formation around our talent versus a club where you buy certain players to fit the system.
If the US had two stud strikers, then I would use a two striker formation even if it is antiquated. However, I think we have settled into our 4231 nicely.

We currently have been using the latter in the Gold Cup.

Interesting.
Watched the pre Gold Cup friendly, but wasn't able to watch the first 2 GC games.
What's the lineup been like? Is Donovan playing higher up?

I want Wondo to be a bench option for the US in 2014. Need a goal? Altidore having a rough match? Send in the Goonie.

I really don't like the two striker system we've been using in the GC, or at the very least, the way we have been executing it. We look better in the double pivot. We don't have a striker on the GC roster that can play the lone striker all that well, so he needs a partner close by, but I would prefer Bob's empty bucket to the single pivot.

Also, in regards to the LD question, he started the tourney playing in the middle of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1 but then pushed up to forward to support the other forward, a move that has paid dividends. That said, I think LD has more freedom to roam a bit.

Holden looked gassed at about the 60th.
That will come with time (I guess), but I'd be surprised if he put in a full 90 in the Gold Cup.

I like LD at forward, but he needs a free role. I like him as a deep lying forward rather than a poacher. He can fill in nicely in all three positions behind the striker, which is a nice problem to have, especially as Dempsey can do the same.

I like Donovan centrally/withdrawn because it allows him to get more involved in building up the attack. Like Dempsey he is good with making late runs (and runs in general, to be honest) into the box and his soccer IQ is better than anyone on the current GC roster, and top 3 on the full team. His passing and composure is pretty impressive.

Would a Johnson/Bradley/Zusi midfield 3 make sense there? Would JK ever leave out Jones like that and would that be enough protection for the back 4?
