While the audio is shitty, the pronunciation by ogzylmz131 (Male from Turkey) on that site is pretty damn close.

The German one is very, very off from the correct pronunciation although I assume that's how most Germans pronounce it.

The English announcers absolutely butcher most Turkish names adding unnecessary sounds that often make the names sound Italian. There is no t sound whatsoever in Mesut's name.

Onder Turaci is a fairly mediocre player I am sure no one here has heard of, but when he played in the Fenerbahce upset of Inter Milan, the announcers were pronouncing his last name "Too Rot Zee", which is so far off from the real pronunciation "Tu Ra Juh".

But Turkish words are pronounced so differently from English words that it's almost impossible to write out most names. Other than Turaci and my own last name, I can't do a phonetic writing that is on point for most names. Ozil is damn hard. I tried for maybe 5 minutes but couldn't come up with anything better than the pronunciation from the Turkish guy.

That and the German pronounce Ozil almost the same. The first name is different, but I think you are splitting hairs here.
