Stadium looks awesome. Too bad I can't bring myself to root for them.

Horrible thunderstorms all night into this morning. Hopefully they are done. I'm kinda scared. I'm headed to the stadium at 11

Has any political progress been made?
It was a tortuous 7 years for us dynamo fans
Although I think DC mayyyyyy have been waiting longer than that

A couple pics stolen from a friend.
I wish I could be there. The bad part is, I will have a tough time being able to watch. I will be at a bar and I will make sure they have the game on, but I will be there for the city championships for 8 ball, winner goes on to Vegas for the national championships. I am the captain and the anchor, so I couldn't skip it.

Only thing I don't undertsand... why cover such a small percent of the seats? Go ahead and cover it all..

Word is future expansion would be in the endzones

that staduim would to some of the best even for a mid table EPL team and up there for LA Liga, Bundaslega and Serie A mid table

I WANT A TEAM IN NOLA SO BAD!
We really need to support the Jesters, if we can.
I know it's hard for us, money's tight, it's in the middle of the freaking summer, and just miserable hot at Pan American. Plus they have an all-purpose pitch, so it's hell trying trying to keep up with the ball, the lines, etc.

I'll be there at the end of the month for the Valencia friendly.

let's not get carried away homey.
that place seats 22,000
this seats 29,500, and the side is in third division (2nd B). It may be superior to one, possibly two in each league, more than likely sides which regularly get promoted and relegated with alarming frequency (except for Getafe in Spain for example, small stadium, small club, but always there, they've got support being in suburban Madrid).

im not there are some pure shite holes in england and esp italy
since ive been in germany ive already seen two stadiums one of bigger but neither looked nicer
some of the lower division teams in europe are lucky to even fill half the seats

yeah, I was editing just now. Homey, marginal sides typically don't inspire enough financial groundswell to update their facilities (seeing as they are constantly fighting relegation or jostling for promotion).

the local team here gets very good numbers b/c its not just the city its also the smaller villages outside to bad they just got relegated
The closes rivals are Mainz and then the team in weisbaden who is a 3rd division side both in an hour drive its really crazy how many cities and towns have teams

it is crazy. I remember a side from outside of Dusseldorf, I cannot remember the name exactly now, started with a W, that was second division always bucking to be promoted, and I swear that city had maybe 30,000 inhabitants.
Maybe a T, it's been nearly twenty years. This will be in my head all day, so I'll get back when it pops to mind (as the case of this side must be somewhat atypical).

Man, was I ever waaaaaaaaay off base.
I guess this friend of ours was such a 'Madrileña' that the area I'm speaking of seemed small, as it was (in direct comparison).
I was there twice, and damned sure never, ever dreamed this place was as big as it is.
I was referring to a suburban area of Bochum, which according to wiki, has 375,000 inhabitants (this must be city plus outlining areas).
