So Beckerman got called up for the Honduras game. I just don't understand Jurgen sometimes.

I'd still love to know why tim and DMB got yellows late in their match. fricking Mexican ref
Beasley had a questionable tackle and the guy would have been way inside the 18 if he didn't. It was warranted, and not the smartest play.
Timmy's was for time wasting, and the ref spent more time in the process than Howard had wasted.
He really seemed to be throwing the yellows out like crazy in the last 15 minutes. I guess he figured he could help Mexico out by putting everyone on a card. We'll get one or two against Honduras, and those guys will miss the Mexico match.

Well, they are playing the match in Salt Lake...

True, I just don't see any benefit or negative to it, just kinda pointless.

Give me Clint, Landon and Zuzi.
Fabian moves back and puts runDMB on the bench.
Use Beasley for second half sub for Graham. Then you would have Beasley, Clint and Landon behind Jozy.

The last three World Cup Golden Ball winners were north of 31.
It's laughable to think that Donovan can't play at a World Class level next year.

were they all wingers who rely on speed? (asking, not rhetorical)

No. Forlan (forrward), Zidane (playmaker), Oliver Kahn (goalkeeper
)

Donovan isn't a winger who relies on speed. He's an attacking/wide midfielder who uses technique and combo play to be effective.

I agree with the above.

Seeing some of the posts on the board, I think that there are many people who are going to be really surprised at some of the names still around for the 2018 World Cup, qualifying and finals.

Donovan and Dempsey will still be involved (if they choose). Same with Howard.
Far more players make an impact at age 30-35 in a World Cup than 18-23.

When does the Gold Cup team report. We will be able to measure Landon's will to play for the A team.
