#2 in MLS in goals.
I know he sucked the last few years, but could Columbus be getting the best out of him now?

That ship has sailed, he could not add any technical ability to his game. Should be no where near the USMNT set up.

He shouldn't, but our depth at forward is so shallow, one injury opens the door for him to crawl through.

The pool is so shallow he probably still fits in.
Tim Ream is a top 10 player in the current pool

Wondo scored a lot of goals in MLS too

Two main reasons:
1) Gregg Berhalter is a great coach with a history of getting excellent production out of his forwards. When you compare the goals scored by Kei Kamara, Ola Kamara, and Zardes for Columbus vs. their other teams, they always seem to score way more for the Crew than anyone else. Zardes fits their system well. He’s not the ideal build for a target man like Kei Kamara was, but he’s still fast and athletic. His first touch hasn’t been as bad as usual, so far.
2) The Galaxy are a mess right now. This year proves that last year was not a fluke. Zlatan and Ola Kamara are both top-level forwards by MLS standards, and even they aren’t all that productive right now. The defense is terrible, and the midfield doesn’t help out enough. Zardes is definitely benefiting from a change of scenery.
Some of those 8 goals have been tap-ins, but a few have been very nice, like the second one on Saturday.
