Ox is injured. He would destroy this Italy backline. Christ.
I'm guessing they will bring in Wilshere or Barkley to run at Italy's midfield.

Could you imagine if Theo was fit? The gap in pace would be absurd.

They need a more attacking player to work between the lines on the left side just like Candreva is doing on the right. Rossi would have been good.
I imagine Cassano or Insigne would be really useful.

This game is fascinating. Rooney is such a problem for both teams. England obviously need his attacking ability, but he is killing them defensively, just like he killed them defensively in the Euro game with Italy (albeit in a different position).
I'm sure this will be ridiculed (and I may look like an idiot if he plays a deciding role in the second half), but I would still consider taking him off for this half. Italy are just killing England on his side.
Move Sterling over to the left, bring in a central midfielder whose sole job is to harass Pirlo, and try to hit Italy on the counter.

Made it sound like he is out for longer than that.

Just figured out I can switch from Neville to Welsh commentators for commentary

Zlatan agrees.

Rossi would have been a perfect second half sub for Balotelli to get more chances.
It will likely be Cassano. I think the weather conditions is the main reason he wasn't starting.
Losing De Sciglio really hurt Italy in forcing Chiellini out to LB.

Has a knock. Won't be playing.

Rossi would have made this squad but he was injured at a crucial time and couldn't get fit in time for the game. He might be a traitor but he's a damn fine attacking player.

Not related to anything but if anyone knows this, it'll be you.
When he had his stroke, was it because Cassano was on drugs?

Won't argue against that, but I couldn't pass up the chance to dig. :)

If Cassano can play like Candreva on the left, he can give England real problems. Candreva is playing such a smart game. Working such a tiny pocket of space so well, confusing the hell out of England.

Roy keeps on trying to hide Rooney. Italy should bring in a left-sided player, Insigne or Cassano or something.
Posted on 6/14/14 at 6:05 pm to crazy4lsu
Looks like Rooney has gone to the right, with Welbeck on the right to give Baines some help.

The physio getting injured is a great irony.
